North Carolina High School Softball - North Stanly sneaks past Forbush

The North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) softball nipped the visiting Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 3-2 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Comets now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Stokes for a non-league outing on Tuesday, May 13. North Stanly will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Forbush moves to 20-8 on the season.
