South Dakota High School Softball - Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy bounces Mt. Vernon/Plankinton

In Friday's league match, the host Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy softball team scored a tight 12-6 victory over the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans.
The (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Beavers go into the Class B match with a 12-4 record. In their last match, Hanson tipped McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD), 14-5, in a league match.
In their next game, the Titans battle the Parkston Trojans (Parkston, SD) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 12. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Trojans go into the match with a 2-10 record after their 16-2 non-league loss to Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD).
