The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) and the visiting Novi Wildcats (Novi, MI), observed Lakeland's softball team get by Novi by a final score of 12-5.

The Eagles (14-5) will now prepare for their bout against Saline (Saline, MI). The Hornets go into the non-league bout with a 14-2 record. In their last bout, Saline tipped Lincoln (Ypsilanti, MI), 9-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Glenn Rockets (Westland, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 12. Novi will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 9-15 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Cass Tech (Detroit, MI).
