In Friday's non-league match, the host Seneca Fighting Irish softball team scored a nice 12-1 victory over the Manteno Panthers.

The Fighting Irish (27-0) will now prepare for their match against Morris (Morris, IL). The Redskins go into the non-league match with a 18-7 record. In their last match, Morris gained a win over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 7-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight match, on Monday, May 12. Manteno will attempt to better on its 17-5 season record. The Coalers go into the match with a 17-8 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, IL).
