The Springfield Springfield (Springfield, IL) baseball the visiting MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), 9-4 in Saturday's league challenge.

The Springfield now own a 12-13 record. They take the field next when they host Glenwood for a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, May 12. Springfield will clash with a Titans team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Titans record now stands at 19-5.

With the defeat, MacArthur drops to 8-15 on the year. The Generals host Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to clash with the Tornadoes in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 11.
