In Saturday's non-league bout, the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) baseball squad the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), by a tally of 6-4.

Next up, the Wildcats encounter the Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight bout, on Monday, May 11. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 8-14 record after their 11-2 non-league loss to Metamora (Metamora, IL).
