The Roncalli Royals the host Ben Davis Giants softball squad by a count of 6-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Royals meet the Shelbyville Golden Bears (Shelbyville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 12. Roncalli will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Golden Bears go into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 10-6 non-league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, IN).

The Giants (2-11) will now prepare for their challenge against North Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Panthers go into the Metropolitan challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, North Central held off Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory (Indianapolis, IN), 8-6, in a non-league challenge.
