Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Hardin County Cougars (Elizabethtown, IL), 17-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Union County improves its record to 7-12 on the year. The Braves travel to Caldwell County (Princeton, KY) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Monday, May 11. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 11-14. Caldwell County lost 7-2 in their recent non-league game against Crittenden County (Marion, KY)

The Cougars now hold a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Harrisburg for a non-league contest on Saturday, May 9. Hardin County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Trico (Campbell Hill, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-12.
