The Coventry Patriots got by the visiting Immaculate Mustangs softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Patriots (17-3) will now prepare for their battle against Somers (Somers, CT). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 18-5 record. In their last battle, Somers nudged St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now sport a 13-9 record.
