Iowa High School Softball - Underwood holds off Lincoln

Underwood Eagles (Underwood, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside for a Western Iowa challenge on Monday, June 3. Underwood will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA) to battle the Bulldogs in a Missouri River challenge on Tuesday, June 4. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 5-7.
