Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), 4-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Algona improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to play the Wildcats in a North Central game on Wednesday, June 3. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 2-2. Humboldt lost 11-3 in their recent non-league game against Charles City (Charles City, IA)

The Indians now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Newell-Fonda for a Twin Lakes game on Tuesday, June 2. Pocahontas will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over West Lyon (Inwood, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.
