Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Union for a Pride of Iowa challenge on Tuesday, June 11. Wayne will face a Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Clarinda (Clarinda, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Murray falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Orient-Macksburg (Orient, IA) to face the Bulldogs in a Bluegrass - West challenge on Tuesday, June 11. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-5.
