In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Wapsie Valley Warriors softball team scored a tight 8-5 win over the Cascade Cougars.
The Warriors (13-1) will now prepare for their match against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA). The Huskies come into the North Iowa Cedar - East match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Oelwein nipped Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA), 17-8, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Cougars confront the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, June 12. Cascade will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 0-7 record after their 11-9 league loss to West Branch (West Branch, IA).
