In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) baseball squad triumphed over the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), by a margin of 12-1.

With the win, Andrean betters its record to 30-4 on the season. The Fighting 59ers travel to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory (Indianapolis, IN) to encounter the Braves in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 17. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 26-4. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN)

With the defeat, New Castle falls to 18-6 on the season.
