Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host H-L-V Warriors (Victor, IA), 12-5 in a league challenge.

The Plainsmen now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sigourney for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 14. Belle Plaine will face a Savages squad coming off a 7-0 league win over North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA). The Savages record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, H-L-V falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA) to face the Bears in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Friday, June 14. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. B-G-M won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Keota (Keota, IA)
