Iowa High School Baseball - New Hampton holds off Central Springs

In Thursday's non-league game, the host New Hampton Chickasaws baseball team scored a close 5-1 win over the Central Springs Panthers.
The Chickasaws (17-3) will now prepare for their game against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league game with a 3-12 record. In their last game, Turkey Valley was overwhelmed by Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA), 11-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Panthers play the St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, June 16. Central Springs will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Saints go into the game with a 12-3 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Kee (Lansing, IA).
