The West Hancock Eagles baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Rockford Warriors to 3 in the Eagles non-league win on Thursday.
The Eagles now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Garrigan for a Top of Iowa - West test on Friday, June 13. West Hancock will play a Golden Bears team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 7-4.
With the defeat, Rockford drops to 0-10 on the year. The Warriors host BCLUW (Conrad, IA) to play the Comets in a non-league test on Monday, June 16. The Comets go into the test with a record of 5-4. BCLUW lost 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Janesville (Janesville, IA)
