The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the host Solon Spartans (Solon, IA), saw Washington's baseball team get by Solon by a tally of 4-3.
The Warriors (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Prairie held off Muscatine (Muscatine, IA), 10-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Spartans face the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, June 13. Solon will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 14-1 record after their 8-3 league win over Webster City (Webster City, IA).
