The Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks softball team scored 9 runs and held the host New Hampton Chickasaws to 1 in the Go-Hawks league win on Thursday.

The Go-Hawks now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benton for a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 17.

With the loss, New Hampton moves to 8-5 on the season. The Chickasaws host Waukon (Waukon, IA) to encounter the Indians in a Northeast Iowa battle on Thursday, June 12. The Indians come into the battle with a record of 2-9. Waukon lost 12-2 in their recent league battle against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA)
