In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting East Grand Rapids Pioneers soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Plainwell Trojans.
The Pioneers (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI). The Norsemen go into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Grosse Pointe North nipped Linden (Linden, MI), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
