The Bellevue Comets baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings to 2 in the Comets non-league victory on Thursday.
The Comets (14-3) will now prepare for their match against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Cascade nudged Lisbon (Lisbon, IA), 15-3, in a non-league outing.
Next, the Vikings face the Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA) in a Tri-Rivers - West outing, on Friday, June 14. Edgewood-Colesburg will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Stars enter the outing with a 10-5 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA).
