In Friday's non-league bout, the Spencer Tigers (Spencer, IA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA), by a tally of 7-0.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the Sioux City North Stars (Sioux City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, June 16. Spencer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Stars enter the bout with a 13-3 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA).
The J-Hawks (2-9) will now prepare for their bout against Union (La Porte City, IA). The Knights enter the North Iowa Cedar - East bout with a 5-6 record. In their last bout, Union was overwhelmed by Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
