The Jesup J-Hawks softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Monticello Panthers to 2 in the J-Hawks non-league win on Friday.

The J-Hawks now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wapsie Valley for a North Iowa Cedar - East battle on Saturday, June 14. Jesup will confront a Warriors team coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-1.

With the loss, Monticello moves to 0-10 on the season. The Panthers travel to Crestwood (Cresco, IA) to confront the Cadets in a non-league battle on Saturday, June 14. The Cadets come into the battle with a record of 9-5. Crestwood lost 6-3 in their recent non-league battle against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA)
