Shenandoah Mustangs (Shenandoah, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sidney Cowboys (Sidney, IA), 14-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clarinda for a non-league game on Thursday, June 15. Shenandoah will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-7.

In their next game, the Cowboys clash with the Griswold Tigers (Griswold, IA) in a non-league game, on Friday, June 16. Sidney will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 9-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over IKM/Manning (Manning, IA).
