Atlantic Trojans (Atlantic, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 17-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newell-Fonda for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 15. Atlantic will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Central Springs falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA) to face the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 15.
