The Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting South Winneshiek Warriors to 4 in the Vikings non-league win on Saturday.
The Vikings now hold a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crestwood for a Northeast Iowa test on Tuesday, June 17. Decorah-North Winneshiek will play a Cadets team coming off a 3-1 league win over Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Cadets record now stands at 5-8.
With the defeat, South Winneshiek drops to 8-9 on the year. The Warriors host North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) to play the in a Upper Iowa test on Monday, June 16. The go into the test with a record of 1-14. North Fayette Valley lost 15-0 in their recent non-league test against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA)
