Independence (Ashburn, VA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they saw their lacrosse team achieve victory over the host Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 13-9 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Independence improves its record to 19-2 on the season.
The Mavericks now have a 14-6 record.
