The Ballard Bombers triumphed over the host Webster City Lynx softball squad by a count of 8-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bombers play the A-D-M Tigers (Adel, IA) in a Raccoon River challenge, on Monday, June 16. Ballard will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA).

The Lynx (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats enter the North Central challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Humboldt edged Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA), 6-5, in a league challenge.
