The Clarke Indians softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting East Union Eagles to 1 in the Indians non-league win on Saturday.

The Indians now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dallas Center-Grimes for a non-league battle on Saturday, June 14. Clarke will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 4-3 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-1.

With the loss, East Union moves to 4-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA) to confront the Raiders in a Pride of Iowa battle on Monday, June 16. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 4-6. Mount Ayr lost 11-0 in their recent league battle against Wayne (Corydon, IA)
