The Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings the visiting Independence Mustangs softball squad by a count of 6-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Vikings play the Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) in a Northeast Iowa challenge, on Tuesday, June 17. Decorah-North Winneshiek will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 14-1 league win over Waukon (Waukon, IA).
