In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Marquette Defenders softball team scored a nice 9-1 win over the Iowa Valley Tigers.
The Defenders (7-8) will now prepare for their match against Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Columbus was routed by Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA), 10-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, June 14. Iowa Valley will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record.
