The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the visiting West Fork Warhawks (Sheffield, IA), observed Jefferson's softball team get by West Fork by a tally of 5-3.

The Hawks (6-8) will now prepare for their bout against Linn-Mar (Marion, IA). The Lions go into the non-league bout with a 13-2 record.

In their next game, the Warhawks clash with the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a Top of Iowa-East bout, on Monday, June 16. West Fork will attempt to advance on its 10-2 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 15-0 league loss to West Fork (Sheffield, IA).
