In Saturday's non-league test, the Muscatine Muskies (Muscatine, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), by a tally of 17-5.

Next, the Muskies clash with the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) in a Mississippi Athletic test, on Tuesday, June 17. Muscatine will attempt to advance on its 10-4 season record. The Spartans go into the test with a 13-4 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).

The Cardinals (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Rebels go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Northeast prevailed over Clinton (Clinton, IA), 10-4, in a non-league test.
