The Monticello Panthers the visiting South Winneshiek Warriors softball squad by a count of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers play the Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, June 16. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Trailblazers enter the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 14-13 non-league win over Davenport North (Davenport, IA).
The Warriors (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA). The enter the Upper Iowa challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, North Fayette Valley by Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
