The Treynor Cardinals softball team scored 7 runs and held the host St. Edmond Gaels to 5 in the Cardinals non-league win on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Missouri Valley for a Western Iowa battle on Monday, June 16. Treynor will confront a Big Reds team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Big Reds record now stands at 21-3.

With the loss, St. Edmond moves to 12-5 on the season. The Gaels travel to Van Meter (Van Meter, IA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Saturday, June 14. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 13-2. Van Meter won 11-0 in their recent league battle against Panorama (Panora, IA)
