Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA) and the host Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA), witnessed Benton's softball squad prevail over Roland-Story by a count of 17-2.

The Bobcats now sport a 19-3 record. They play next when they travel to Solon for a non-league match on Monday, June 17. Benton will face a Spartans squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to A-D-M (Adel, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Roland-Story moves to 6-13 on the season. The Norsemen travel to Saydel (Des Moines, IA) to meet the Eagles in a Heart of Iowa battle on Monday, June 17. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 7-7.
