In Saturday's non-league contest, the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), by a margin of 14-2.

With the triumph, East Marshall moves its record to 18-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Union (La Porte City, IA) to play the Knights in a non-league contest on Monday, June 17. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 2-13. Union lost 6-5 in their recent league contest against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA)

In their next game, the Bobcats play the Hoover Huskies (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, June 19. Marshalltown will attempt to move on its 7-11 season record.
