In Saturday's non-league contest, the Northwest Wolves (Waukee, IA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, Northwest moves its record to 12-2 on the year. The Wolves travel to Waukee (Waukee, IA) to play the Warriors in a CIML contest on Thursday, June 20. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 11-11.
In their next game, the Lions play the Iowa City Little Hawks (Iowa City, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, June 18. Linn-Mar will attempt to move on its 9-13 season record.
