West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they host Wahlert for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 15.

With the loss, Maquoketa falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 18. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 16-7.
