In Monday's league game, the visiting Belle Plaine Plainsmen baseball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Keota Eagles.
The Plainsmen (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Aplington-Parkersburg was tipped by Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA), 11-1, in a league game.
Next, the Eagles play the North Mahaska Warhawks (New Sharon, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar game, on Wednesday, June 18. Keota will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Warhawks go into the game with a 7-6 record after their 9-6 league loss to B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA).
