The Columbus Sailors baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Oelwein Huskies to 8 in the Sailors non-league win on Monday.

The Sailors now hold a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they host Grundy Center for a non-league test on Wednesday, June 18. Columbus will play a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league win over East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-2.

With the defeat, Oelwein drops to 2-14 on the year. The Huskies travel to Cascade (Cascade, IA) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Tuesday, June 17. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 6-5. Cascade won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Monticello (Monticello, IA)
