The Keota Eagles softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Belle Plaine Plainsmen to 1 in the Eagles league win on Monday.

The Eagles now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lynnville-Sully for a South Iowa Cedar battle on Tuesday, June 17. Keota will confront a Hawks team coming off a 10-9 non-league loss to Moravia (Moravia, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Belle Plaine moves to 0-17 on the season. The Plainsmen host Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to confront the Falcons in a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 17. The Falcons come into the battle with a record of 2-12. Aplington-Parkersburg lost 11-5 in their recent non-league battle against Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA)
