Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they host Albia for a South Central challenge on Thursday, June 20. Cardinal will face a Blue Demons squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Mt. Pleasant moves to 2-16 on the season. The Panthers host Fairfield (Fairfield, IA) to meet the Trojans in a non-league battle on Thursday, June 20.
