The Algona Bulldogs triumphed over the host St. Ansgar Saints softball squad by a count of 20-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs play the Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA) in a North Central challenge, on Monday, June 23. Algona will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Benton (Van Horne, IA).
The Saints (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Osage (Osage, IA). The Green Devils enter the Top of Iowa-East challenge with a 18-0 record. In their last challenge, Osage overcame Central Springs (Manly, IA), 8-2, in a league challenge.
