The Ar-We-Va Rockets softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting River Valley Wolverines to 7 in the Rockets non-league win on Thursday.
The Rockets now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodbine for a Rolling Valley battle on Friday, June 20. Ar-We-Va will confront a Tigers team coming off a 10-0 league win over Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, River Valley moves to 5-13 on the season. The Wolverines host West Monona (Onawa, IA) to confront the Spartans in a Western Valley battle on Friday, June 20. The Spartans come into the battle with a record of 11-6.
