The Gilbert Tigers softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs to 1 in the Tigers non-league win on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Hamilton for a non-league battle on Friday, June 20. Gilbert will confront a Hawks team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-14.
With the loss, Prairie City-Monroe moves to 14-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Grand View Christian (Des Moines, IA) to confront the Thunder in a non-league battle on Friday, June 20. The Thunder come into the battle with a record of 14-4.
