The Mormon Trail Saints softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Melcher-Dallas Saints to 8 in the Saints non-league win on Thursday.

The Saints now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ankeny Christian Academy for a Bluegrass - West battle on Friday, June 20.

With the loss, Melcher-Dallas moves to 6-2 on the season. The Saints host East Union (Afton, IA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Monday, June 23. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 4-13. East Union lost 17-1 in their recent league battle against Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA)
