Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Nighthawks now own a 21-2 record.

With the loss, Cheshire falls to 15-6 on the campaign.
