Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), 7-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Algona improves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Bulldogs host Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to play the Wildcats in a North Central game on Wednesday, June 4. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 1-2.

The Indians now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Newell-Fonda for a Twin Lakes game on Tuesday, June 3. Pocahontas will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to West Lyon (Inwood, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-2.
