The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA) and the visiting West Hancock Eagles (Britt, IA), observed Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS's softball team get by West Hancock by a final score of 6-5.

The (1-15) will now prepare for their bout against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA). The Lions go into the North Central bout with a 8-11 record. In their last bout, Clear Lake was nipped by Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA), 10-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Forest City Indians (Forest City, IA) in a Top of Iowa-West bout, on Friday, June 21. West Hancock will attempt to better on its 2-16 season record.
